Five star service from Jorge, the owner of Adanu Transport and Tour. I utilized this service on a recent day-trip tour to Kumasi. Jorge was very communicative and made sure to promptly reach out every day up to the tour. On the day of the tour, Jorge arrived at my hotel in Accra promptly at 5:00. In fact, he was about 30 minutes early and waited for me in my hotel lobby. We quickly set off for our long road trip. A huge plus was that he also provided wifi. Jorge provided transportation with air conditioning, which was a necessity, and he drove very safely to ensure that we arrived at our destination in one piece.  He was upfront about the state of the road to Kumasi and advised that it may take a little longer because of it. It did. But at least it was not a surprise. Jorge built in several rest stops and a stop for lunch during the trip, and he even purchased drinks and snacks for me along the way. Jorge is very knowledgeable about Ghana history and provided a lot of information during our drive. He stayed with me throughout the day and made sure that I was in good hands at each stop. The ride home was a bit rough since it was so dark on the road, and the roads were terrible, but Jorge made sure that we arrived back to Accra safely. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour and time with Kwame. Since it was a solo tour, the experience felt more intimate. Kwame gave me a history during the drive of just about every small town we passed through. He's very knowledgeable about Ghana and the history of the slave trade. He also made sure I was very comfortable even stopping at rest stops for me to use the restroom occasionally and asking me if everything was okay throughout the ride. I was able to use his Wi-Fi; I was also able to connect to bluetooth and play music of my choice. He offered these things! Once we got to the locations, I was release to do the tours while he waited. After the tours, he even allowed me to shop--never rushing or seeming impatient. The car was very clean and comfortable. The aur conditioner blew very cold. During the entire ride we chatted, and when I fell asleep, he didn't bother me. I travel often and I have taken tours in various countries, and I must say this was the very best tour I have ever taken and I believe the experience was mostly due to to Adanu Tours and Kwame. After the Cape Coast Castle Tour, Kwame noticed I was feelyng sad and asked if I wanted to continue or go home. This was so thoughtful. He was a true professional and a complete gentleman. This felt like a special treat, and the price is comparable to the other tours like this. If you are coming to Ghana, please book Adanu tours for your transportation needs. I usually do not submit reviews unless the experience was exceptional, and this experience was just that! After doing extensive research for Accra tours and having to deal with other tour guides and their ridiculous pricing, I came across Adanu Transport and Tour (A.T.T) via GetYourGuide.com I booked this tour the day before my scheduled tour date (18-Dec). I received a timely response from A.T.T/Mr. Jorge confirmed a 5:30am pickup and a reminder of the recommended attire/shoes. Mr. Jorge was punctual and professional. I was fortunate to be the only person booked for this tour, which I was offered the option of either do the Kakum National Park or Assin Manso Slave River, in addition to the Elimina and Cape Coast Castles. I opted for Assin Manso Slave River (such a humbling experience). The drive is about a 4-hour drive from Accra. Yes, the roads are bumpy, but that is expected.  (also, Mr. Jorge actually uses his signals while driving, unlike other drivers, which I appreciated, lol. Mr. Jorge was attentive, engaging, and a wealth of knowledge; he openly shared information about the areas/towns and answered any questions that I had, as we drove towards each tour site. I never felt rushed, unlike other tours, which was great. Mr. Jorge has a rapport with the employees/volunteers at each tour site. Before heading back to Accra, we had lunch at Lemon Lounge (these small details that matter), also, Mr. Jorge was kind to stop by some of the food stands, for me to try some street food, that I know I would have never done, if I weren't with a local - which also made my tour more memorable. Because I had a great experience with A.T.T, I booked the Cocoa and Botanical Gardens tour the following day and booked for transport to run a few errands for in Day 3. I believe in supporting small businesses, and I am glad I discovered A.T.T.  Yes, there are several tour guides in Accra, but if you are looking for a personalized tour with a professional guide, I highly recommend Mr. Jorge/Adanu Transport and Tour company.

Soo happy I booked my tour in Cape Coast with Jorge. I spent the day with him and Esther and we went to Kakum National Park, Elmina Castle and Cape Coast Castle. They thought me a lot of history and traditions. I‘m a ghanian in the diaspora so I cherished they teachings and knowledge very much. An absolutely  enjoyable and riveting  experience!  It was informative, enlightening, and unforgettable.  The itinerary also included fun-filled activities indicative of Ghana’s cultural and social scene.  The trip embodied “all things Ghana” so that the traveler truly learned all aspects of Ghanaian culture.  I have done extensive traveling prior to this trip; however this was a true full-bodied experience full of deep emotions.
